Wooohooo!!! I had a great, great, great, great, great week! Well except for the fact that I was sent out of the library...that's not part of my celebration, ok? @_@

I don't know how to post what happened to me during the retreat, but I guess I'll do it in my day by day posting. =)

Day 1 (Friday, March17, 2006)

We left school at 1:30 pm. But in the sched, the departure would be 12 noon. X_X Tsk. Filipino time. So, the trip going to Bethlehem was fun, we checked-in in our rooms - My roommates were, Batty, Beau, Elaine and Camille =)) , we rested for a while and *drum roll* we were late for the first session. It was Mrs. Mendoza's-lecture-of-proper-behavior-in-Bethlehem session. XD Haha!! That’s strike 1.

After that first session, Doc Walter was our new speaker. (phew! Thank gawd) We grouped ourselves into 8 groups. He gave us a task; to choose the 12 most memorable moments that happened to us from first yr down to fourth yr.; to portray it again; and to took a picture of it. That was fun. =))

Then, at 7 pm, we took our dinner. Our dinner was unique, it was called the MONK'S MEAL . Graaar.. I don't want to remember this. =X Tsk. Julius... I hated you because of this. Hahaha!! What is this monk's meal anyway? Each person in the table is assigned for a certain meal and only the person whose in-charge for that meal has the right to distribute it. Btw, during the distribution of food, our eyes were closed and a handkerchief sealed our lips so you can't tell whether the food given to you is too much or not enough. Since I picked water, I am the only one who can give them (Juls, Beau, Cat and Elaine) that. But Julius was so demanding that he kept on pounding the table using his empty glass so I got no choice but to refill it. ='c He did this to me thrice, fyi. During our dinner, Doc Walter told us to stop eating first...he talked for a while...and told us something I couldn't remember. Hehe. That moment, I was refilling Jul's glass and I don't know what came into my mind cos the moment I sat in my chair, I picked-up my spoon and fork and ate. Yeaaappp... I ate. =C And guess what? Mrs. Mendoza was behind me. She gazed at me intently, said nothing and left. strike 2. I felt really horrible.

After that crazy monks meal, we gathered again at the hall and Doc Walter gave us a new task. He told us that we should share the most insensitive thing that we have done in our entire life by section. This task was interesting. Why? Because you wouldn't expect that even the richest, the jolliest and the most famous person in our batch have his/her own problems. Family problems specifically. Tsk. Life is so unfair, right? You thought their life is so perfect because they got everything they wanted but everything wasn't true. They got imperfections too. =x

A classmate of mine ran away from his mother because she kept on exchanging boyfriends every time and he hated it. Her mother's reason was, she only did that because of her son. But they are ok now. He already returned to his home and they settled everything.

See, what mothers can do to us? We are lucky that God gave us loving mothers...

Another classmate of mine shared about his childhood. He said that whenever his father was mad at him, a belt was hit at him or at times, he was locked at their basement. ='c He was crying as he spoke those words. =C

Argh. For me, that's too much to discipline a child. =C Imagine, being locked at the basement all alone? =X Tsk.

So that's it. That was some of the stories I heard that night. *sigh* It's still fresh in my mind... Tsk. I hate sad moments. ='x

Day 2 (Saturday, March, 18, 2006)

Our third task was to finish all the challenges given to us by group before lunch! =D That was hideous. Argh. The first challenge we took was the most difficult! It was called the acid river. We have to cross the friggin imaginary river by using thin logs. =X And, all of us must cross it. All of us.There were 25 of us, fyi. Damn it. So we spent 33 mins. for the first task. Unluckily, Jonah accidentally stepped on a piece of broken glass. Poor her. ='C

The second challenge we took was called Uranium Ball. The rule was, to transfer the pail full of balls with strings attached around it (the pail not the ball) to the other end of the tennis court. It was easy for us. We were the group who won in this challenge. =))

After that second task, we hurriedly went to the third task which was charade. We finished it for only 12 sec. Then the fourth task was I-cant-remember-task. Hahaha!! Seriously, I can't remember it. =c Tsk. The rule of the game was; only one of your members is required to get 5 balls using the big spoon. So we picked Karen to do that task. But sadly, the ball was inside a barrier and it was out of reach. So the boys lifted Karen and successfully, she made it! =)) Kuya Jeff was laughing on what we did to Karen. =.="" Well, honestly, that was funny. *grins*

The fifth task was easier than the latter it was a card game. We just have to guess what was the missing card. I think, the sixth task we took was called Spider-Web. Errr.. this task was damn difficult. Argh. @.@ Haaay.. yoko na talaga ng details. ='( the last task we took was named Jump For Life. To make this simple, this is just a skipping rope game. =.="" The only difference is, you have to jump as a group simultaneously.

Saturday night was our last night. The activity we had was... uhhh... Letters-That-Made-You-Cry activity. Hahaha!! XD Well, some cried because each one of us received a letter from our parents. I got a letter as well...it was from my mom. =.="" Hehehe...sorry, I can't put here what she wrote. *grins evilly* We also received letters from our friends. As for me, I received letters from my dear friends and from my stupid-narrow-minded-insensitive-obnoxious-FORMER-friend. =/ Tsss... I hate him.

Day 3 (Sunday, March, 19, 2006)

Before leaving Bethlehem, we had a mass. There was Father Mon again having his homily. I really love listening to his homily because of his words of wisdom. Even though he usually looks tired, or at times sleepy, once you hear him speak... you would realize he's behind from your expectations. Two thumbs up Father! =))

The funny thing that happened after the mass was... *drum roll* We left the place without Mrs. Mendoza! Hahahaha!! XD She was soooooooooooo angry at us. She was like a lion that kept on roaring and roaring aaaaaand roaring. =.="" lol. Hahaha!! XD Ok, too much about her.

We never knew that at school there were more surprises waiting for us. Olryt, honestly, I knew what would happen. Wel...I was spoiled. Hahaha!! Coleen accidentally told me about these surprises. Haha!! XD The surprises were; our old friends who left AUSHS were there; the advisers we had during our first yr of stay at AUSHS; the letter-of-letting-go... basta! +_+

After those surprises, I went back home and rest.
Gudnyt!
